Deloitte Introduces Decarbonization Software For Organizations - Carbon Herald

This week Deloitte launched its decarbonization Software as a Service (SaaS) called GreenLight Solution. It’s based on CortexAI — an AI platform for data management and analytics and will offer a vast number of global data libraries, including 150,000 emissions factors and 200 real-world emissions abatement projects.

GreenLight will be able to demonstrate how climate initiatives impact the bottom line and draw pathways for finding the optimal scenario for reducing emissions. It also covers a broad range of industrial sectors, spanning the manufacturing spectrum, as well as air and maritime transport.

One of the most prominent features of this Deloitte service is that it will provide access to carbon credits from 16,000 programs in 70 countries. This will allow companies to locate and sort tax credits by category, solution and region.

“Many business leaders around the world are feeling the impacts of climate change on their organizations and are working to set ambitious sustainability targets, but they need comprehensive, validated data and insights to take concrete steps toward decarbonization,” said John Mennel, sustainability strategy leader and managing director, Deloitte Consulting LLP. “Even as economic and technological factors change, this solution can enable companies to build a complete picture of their roadmap, understand how to prioritize projects based on economics and time horizons, and update that view continuously as real-world conditions change.”

The platform is also focused on automating data analysis, while allowing integrations with a large array of enterprise software, something that has prevented companies from calculating their carbon footprint and reducing it.

One of the most crucial capabilities of GreenLight is the sequencing of projects that lead to reducing emissions. The algorithms it deploys will be able to make sense of all the data and essentially offer one or multiple scenarios for companies that want to reduce emissions and achieve their business targets.
