Canada’s Will Solutions has announced it will deploy Net Zero Cloud by US software major Salesforce Inc (NYSE: CRM) to develop its Sustainable Communities (SC) service used to convert greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions into carbon credits.

Net Zero Cloud will be used to power Will’s carbon solutions, leveraging the cloud-based architecture, processing, API, and AI capabilities of the platform, the Quebec-based company said in a statement.

Some of the applications and components included in the deal are Sales Cloud, Pardot Marketing Cloud, and CRM Analytics.

During the first phase of the development of its SC service, Will has aggregated and quantified the GHG reductions of hundreds of buildings in Quebec and converted them into carbon credits, which represents over 6.4 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent, according to the release.

The partnership with Salesforce is part of Will’s bid to accelerate its digital transformation program, according to the company’s CTO, Francois Beaubien.

“Our improved traceability platform needs the capacity to process billions of transactions. Process automation and intelligence capabilities like Salesforce’s Einstein AI engine are a must,” Beaubien added.

Through the partnership with Salesforce, Will seeks to improve its productivity and incorporate hundreds of thousands of buildings into its SC roster. Thus, it expects to process billions of transactions in the coming years in order to trace and monetize over 100 million tons of CO2 equivalent.

According to Will, the initiative will have a multi-billion-dollar impact on the Canadian economy.
