This week, enterprise decarbonization platform Watershed will be hosting a webinar dedicated to the SEC mandate for climate disclosure from public companies.

The free online event will take place on April 27, 2023, at 11:30 AM PDT / 2:30 PM EDT, and participants can register on the host’s official website

One of the main questions discussed during the webinar, which will be hosted by Watershed co-founder Taylor Francis, is how the new SEC rule will relate to international climate disclosure requirements such as the EU’s CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive).

Other points that speaker and former SEC Commissioner (2017-2020) Robert J. Jackson, Jr. will touch on include the part that investors and leaders can play in driving corporate climate action.

Robert J. Jackson, Jr. is a Professor of Law, Co-Director of the Institute for Corporate Governance and Finance, and Director of the Program on Corporate Law and Policy at New York University’s School of Law.

Participants will get the chance to learn more about what public companies can do to ensure compliance with the new rules.
