This week on This Is CDR, the team welcomes Jim Mann, Co-Founder and CEO of the Future Forest Company, to chat about scalable, durable carbon removal and how enhanced weathering and biochar can be applied to improve productive land.
You can register for the free event here.
Jim Mann grew up on a hill farm before studying Ecology at Durham University. After university, he founded several successful businesses in technology, retail, and leisure before his environmental background drew him back to the fight against climate change and the ecological disaster it’s bringing with it.
The Future Forest Company was born with the aim to deliver large scale reforestation projects of degraded land in the UK to have a meaningful impact in the fight against climate change.
When he’s not in the forest Jim runs competitively at ultra distance, his favourite events being 100+ mile mountain races.
You can also watch the previous episode of This Is CDR below featuring Shantanu Agarwal, the CEO of Sustaera who talked about the company direct air capture pathway called “DAC 2.0,” that is modular and ready to deploy at scale.
