Sylvera has announced the appointment of Adrienne Gormley, a noted tech expert, as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Gormley, a former executive at tech giants Dropbox and Google, brings a wealth of experience scaling technology companies and driving strategic initiatives. 

With a background in supporting international expansions, Gormley is poised to lead Sylvera as it seeks to grow its customer base and enhance its operational efficiency.

Sylvera specializes in assessing the success of carbon offset initiatives for businesses, providing valuable guidance to help companies direct their resources towards meaningful sustainability projects.

The carbon data provider has selected Gormley for her proven track record in the tech industry as well as her expertise in optimizing business operations. As COO, Gormley will be responsible for overseeing Sylvera’s operational teams and implementing strategies to facilitate the company’s growth and development.

Allister Furey, co-founder and CEO of Sylvera, expressed his excitement about this new addition to the team. He shared, “Adrienne’s background in both operations and delivery of core commercial and strategic initiatives, scaling some of the biggest companies in tech, will help drive Sylvera’s continued expansion.”

The appointment of the new COO comes at a pivotal moment for Sylvera, as they seek to capitalize on their recent funding successes and accelerate their growth trajectory. Since its launch in 2020, the company has raised around $100 million through various funding rounds, including ones in July 2023 and January 2022.

Adrienne Gormley commented on this new venture: “At this critical time in the global fight against climate change, I am joining the Sylvera team as COO to help simplify some of the big shifts necessary for corporate climate action and investment.” 

She also stated, “In joining Sylvera, my aim is to be at the forefront of helping companies make the necessary shifts in both mindset and actions to turn climate action into a critical and embedded part of their operations.”
