CO2 pipeline operator Summit Carbon Solutions has partnered with landowners in Nebraska to secure easement agreements for over half of the pipeline route in the state.
So far, the company has had 354 landowners in Nebraska sign 465 easement agreements, representing another major milestone for the company and the carbon pipeline project.
Thus, the $4.5 billion project is still moving as planned and is on track for construction to commence in 2023 and become operational in 2024.
“Summit Carbon Solutions and our six ethanol plant partners in Nebraska are incredibly pleased that landowners continue to embrace our project and support our efforts to maintain a strong, competitive ethanol industry,” said Summit Carbon Solutions CEO Lee Blank.
Blank believes that this new milestone is a sure sign that the project is moving forward and on its way to foster the growth of the ag economy in the long haul.
