Summit Carbon Solutions Partners With Mangrove Nexus For Carbon Market Engagement - Carbon Herald

Summit Carbon Solutions has reached the next milestone in the development its large-scale biomass carbon removal & storage (BiCRS) project. The company has selected Mangrove Systems‘ Nexus platform to manage the project’s data and enable the digital measurement, monitoring, and verification (dMRV) which will be crucial to its success, as it looks to engage with carbon markets.

“Mangrove Nexus is an important component of our technology strategy, supporting the commercialization of our project.” said Jason Cradit, CTO, Summit Carbon Solutions. “The capabilities of the solution, combined with Mangrove’s expertise in carbon markets, make them an ideal partner for our project.”

Summit Carbon Solutions will use the Mangrove Nexus platform for carbon accounting of the entire value chain of a project that is set to remove over 18 million tons of carbon dioxide every year from a ethanol plants in the Mid-West.

“Mangrove is on a mission to power the world’s most important carbon projects.” said Brandon Vlaar, CEO of Mangrove Systems. “We’re incredibly excited to support Summit on what will be a landmark project for carbon removal, the agriculture industry, and the climate. Together, we are setting a new benchmark for best in class carbon data management.”

The all-in-one platform will streamline the validation of the removals, as well as issue carbon credits which are serialized by prominent carbon registries, providing the dMRV infrastructure for buers, issuers and regulators.
