Carbon dioxide accelerator remove has opened the application process for early-stage startups active in this decarbonization field in Europe.

The program is organized in two stages and will unfold over a period of 8 months.

Through this program, carbon dioxide removal (CDR) startups can gain access to a network of sector-relevant experts, including investors, buyers, and other vital ecosystem players.

The accelerator also provides emerging companies with one-on-one coaching sessions and personalized training tailored to the needs of each business and its CDR challenges.

Besides linking startups with a vibrant community of CDR trailblazers, the accelerator program also offers funding support to companies, aiming to help them position their solutions on the market.

In this regard, remove clarifies that funding support will be made available to companies that reach stage 2 of the program.

Those applicants will be eligible for up to ~$17,600 (15,000 EUR) in non-dilutive funding, and remove points out that the accelerator may ask for this recoverable grant back only in the case if a startup begins performing well on its own.

The recovered grant would then be used to provide financial support to the next cohort of CDR startups that join the accelerator program.

Companies that can take advantage of this opportunity need to have an exclusive focus on carbon dioxide removal, and their solutions should be built on science-based foundations.
