The remove carbon dioxide removal (CDR) accelerator has launched its first program in Latin America, looking to back founders active in this part of the world.

Applications are now officially open for remove’s first cohort of LatAm developers who will join a two-stage, 8-month program dedicated solely to CO2 removal.

With generous support from Milkywire’s Climate Transformation Fund (CTF), the Latin America remove accelerator program intends to catalyze local innovation, ecosystem growth, and wider CDR market development across the region.

Latin America holds immense potential for durable CDR, as the region boasts rich natural resources, strong entrepreneurial talent, industrial and agricultural systems, and a climate innovation ecosystem on the rise.

Set on a mission to fortify CDR efforts in this region, the accelerator is now looking for early-stage teams ready to build, test, and scale solutions.

As with its other branches of the program, the LatAm CDR accelerator too is divided into two stages, called “Foundations” and “Leap.”

In the first, region-centric stage, startups will be brought up to speed with the regional CDR landscape in a fast-paced program that will cover segments such as LatAm-relevant carbon markets and CDR policy, MRV issues, and the perspective of buyers.

Through this stage, participants will also refine their value proposition and receive coaching and expert sessions on addressing individual roadblocks.

The Foundations stage will end with a Pitch Day that is part of the application required to be selected for the globally oriented Leap stage.

Participants selected to join the Leap stage will gain access to a ~$17,000 (€15,000) pre-purchase agreement that aims to create an early demand signal, supporting the path toward delivery. The remove accelerator operates as a non-profit and doesn’t take any equity.

Once the program wraps, teams can still access remove’s post-accelerator support, which includes fundraising tools, peer circles, a network of experts, and opportunities across the global CDR ecosystem.

The application form for this opportunity can be found here. The accelerator will be accepting submissions by 11:59pm (CEST) on 30th August, 2026.
