Remove – the first accelerator startup program focused solely on carbon dioxide removal, announced the eight carbon dioxide removal (CDR) startups selected by its jury to continue to Phase 2 of the program.
Phase 2, Leap, includes working closely with the startups for 6 months to uncover and deep dive into the things relevant to the enterprises to build a successful CDR company. They will go through all relevant topics like fundraising, valuations, CDR policy, life cycle assessment, and have the opportunities to connect with potential buyers and funders.
The eight startups were selected among 20 teams from Phase 1 that were announced back in June 2023. According to the remove announcement, the 8 startups moving forward in the accelerator program cover an exciting range of CDR solutions. The startups are as follows: Terra Preta, Airhive, Dowmann, Tierra-Foods Ltd, Wild Hydrogen, AirZyme, Everest Carbon, and Ctrl+z.
The remove accelerator is supported by sus.lab and founding partners: The Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, Carbon Removal Partners and The DOEN Foundation.
