As part of the Europe Accelerator Program, remove has announced the startups selected for the Cohort 7 Leap—the second part of its CDR booster and mentorship program.
Selected startups include Artio, Kumo, SuperDAC, Bloomineral, Atmosfuture Limited, neo-fossil, Octavia Carbon and Nina Energy. Their solutions range across direct air capture (DAC), biochar, carbon mineralization, climate fintech, and insurance products.
As part of the accelerator program, during the following 5 months, these companies will receive guidance on the challenges specific to their operations, covering areas such as policy insights, life cycle assessment, fundraising strategies, and intellectual property management.
From the DAC sector, one of the selected companies is Octavia Carbon, which is developing the first DAC facility in the Global South, leveraging Kenya’s favorable geology for CO2 storage.
Atmosfuture is another DAC innovator that has developed a novel technology called Reverse Fractionation of Carbon Capture (REVFRACC), which uses liquid nitrogen to liquefy CO2 and other gases to convert them to generate carbon-free power. For every tonne of captured CO2 their system also captures almost 2000 tonnes of nitrogen, which is used as a fuel source or exported for supply.
Paris-based SUPERDAC is the third company from the DAC sphere, which employs an electrochemical DAC technology that offers significant energy improvements.
Aptly named, UK company neo-fossil is a biotech startup focused on removing atmospheric carbon dioxide into new fossils, while Bloomineral is a company that uses a biomineralization process to store atmospheric CO2 in biominerals—carbon-negative limestone fillers that have active properties.

The other selected companies are Artio, which offers insurance and risk mitigation tools for de-risking investments into carbon projects, and Kumo, a software infrastructure provider that enables debt financing for the carbon removal market.
Remove is currently accepting applications for its next cohort for the Europe Accelerator Program, scheduled for approval in 2025.
