Ocean Visions has announced the start of the second edition of its Launchpad cohort, dedicated to supporting ocean-based carbon removal companies.

The Ocean Visions Launchpad Program was first established in 2021 and initially only sought to support companies that were competing for the $100M XPRIZE Carbon Removal award.

This year, however, the organization has decided to broaden the scope of its search profile to include all tech companies seeking to bring about new developments in the ocean-based carbon dioxide removal (CDR) space.

Applications are now open for this year’s edition of the Launchpad Program with the deadline for submission being June 8, 2023.

Approved participants should be able to help improve monitoring or measurement of ocean-based CDR pathways, as well as developing tools for autonomous CDR operations and solutions for the various engineering issues in the space.
