Green chemistry company NextChem has started the engineering phase of Hydrogen Valley in Rome, which is based on the firm’s waste-to-chemical technology, and has received an EU grant as part of the IPCEI HY2USE initiative.

Through its subsidiary MyRechemical, NextChem has started the engineering of waste conversion to Circular GasTM, which will be the raw material for the production of ethanol and hydrogen.
NextChem has awarded LanzaTech an engineering contract to deliver a process design for a synthetic gas fermentation unit to produce circular ethanol.
