With Brazil committed to restoring 12 million hectares of degraded land by 2030, Franco-Brazilian company MORFO is launching a call for Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) projects.
This initiative aims to identify large-scale reforestation projects led by carbon developers and support them with cost-efficient and scalable restoration solutions.
The call is open to developers, co-developers, and landowners with projects in the Amazon, Atlantic Forest, or Cerrado biomes.
Eligible projects should cover at least 1,000 hectares, with a preference for those over 5,000 hectares, and align with MORFO’s technical approach.
The call opens today, February 11, and the application deadline is March 12. Other key dates include March 19 (Initial price estimate & Letter of Intent) and April 22 (Due diligence & final price confirmation).
Since its inception in 2021, MORFO has facilitated 24 ARR projects across compliance and carbon markets, providing partners with end-to-end reforestation support, including native seed supply, land assessment, project design, planting operations, and early-stage monitoring.

“In recent months, many developers have raised concerns about securing reliable reforestation solutions that offer three essential elements: cost efficiency, financial predictability, and ecological integrity. The idea emerged to map out all existing projects and provide visibility to the best initiatives,” Gregory Maitre, CEO of MORFO, explained.
The call aims to establish long-term partnerships, allowing MORFO to streamline planting activities and optimize resources. Developers who participate can expect key benefits, including:
- Cost Efficiency – Large-scale restoration at less than $3,500 (20,000 Brazilian reais), lowering upfront costs.
- Predictability – Transparent cost structures and secured planting capacity, reducing execution risks.
- Scalability – Advanced AI and drone technology enabling up to 50 hectares restored per day, ensuring high-quality project execution.
Additionally, MORFO is offering a free project review by expert advisors and the opportunity to connect with carbon buyers in its network to secure long-term funding.
