Mitsubishi Power and Warwick Carbon Solutions have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to work together on decarbonization projects. 

The strategic partners will identify and develop long-term projects to support the North American region to achieve net zero by 2050. The JDA will utilize both companies’ products, services, and expertise, and will focus on the decarbonization of the oil and gas, industrial processes, and power generation sectors. 

As part of the agreement, Mitsubishi Power will provide equipment supply and project development, engineering, and design expertise. The company will also offer long-term operational services for electric power generation and storage systems. 

Warwick Carbon Solutions will provide the energy infrastructure and its expertise in power development, which includes knowledge of government regulations and carbon capture and storage (CCUS) project development. The company will also offer support services in the evaluation of commercial, financial and technological approaches toward decarbonization in North America.

Initiatives such as the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act show that this is the right time to collaborate on decarbonization technologies and solutions, said Bill Newsom, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Power Americas. “With our comprehensive combination of world-class technology and proven green energy investment expertise, this partnership will open doors that can lead to more projects along the path to net zero.
