Microsoft has partnered with 3Degrees to purchase over 80,000 metric tons of carbon removals from the Blue Creek Improved Forest Management Project in Northern California.
This initiative, managed by Western Rivers Conservancy, not only helps Microsoft achieve its climate goals but also supports vital ecosystem restoration.
By investing in this project, Microsoft is contributing to the creation of the Blue Creek Forest and Salmon Sanctuary, a significant conservation effort that will protect a vast expanse of temperate rainforest and restore ancestral lands to the Yurok Tribe.
