It’s time for the next episode of “This is CDR”! This week’s guest is Aaron Fitzgerald from Mars Materials and he’ll tell us all about how he plans to produce carbon fiber with CO2 and will share his experiences with New York’s carbontech ecosystem as part of Venture for ClimateTech and the C2V Initiative’s inaugural cohorts.
The event will be live on October 19th, 2021, at 12pm ET. Click this link to register and join.
Aaron Fitzgerald is CEO and Co-Founder of Mars Materials, a certified B-corp that sequesters captured CO2 into plastics and carbon fiber by converting it into acrylonitrile that can be used to create a wide range of long-lived products. Mars Materials was incubated while Aaron was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Carbon180.
The Open Air Collective – a network of volunteers who collaborate on shared projects that push Direct Air Carbon Capture forward in the real world – launched a series of webinars focused on carbon capture technology and carbon dioxide removal earlier in 2021 and has now had over ten guests from across the carbon capture, utilization and removal spectrum. Here is the previous episode of “This is CDR” which featured Christoph Beuttler, Policy Lead at Climeworks. He gave us an update with their latest ventures – the Orca plant in Iceland and partnerships with Swiss Re and Microsoft.
