Landscape Enterprise Networks (LENs) has released its first Impact Report, highlighting significant progress in landscape resilience and climate outcomes from regenerative agriculture.
Based on two years of measured data, the report shows how LENs is transforming supply chains and ecosystems across six regions in Europe.
LENs brings together businesses, NGOs, public bodies, and land managers to co-fund environmental improvements at scale. Since 2021, the platform has channeled more than €24 million (~$27.4 million) directly to farmers and land managers. Backers include Diageo, Nestlé, and PepsiCo, supporting initiatives in the UK, Hungary, Italy, and Poland.
Proven Environmental Impact
- From 289 farms across five regions, verified results include:
- 49,370 metric tons CO₂e in emissions reduced or removed in 2024 — equal to 140 ha of woodland over 100 years
- 47,705 hectares under regenerative practices, with measurable impact to follow in 2025
- 1.83 tons/ha increase in soil organic carbon in one year
- 14kg/ha average nitrogen use reduction
- 73 hectares of habitat restored or created since LENs began
With a 79% retention rate and average support of $183/ha, LENs is gaining strong traction on the ground. In 2024, over €800,000 (~$915,000) was invested in new tools and techniques, including bio-stimulants, low-impact weeding, and natural nitrogen fixes.
Philip Raley, a Yorkshire farmer, called LENs “more farmer-led than any other funding initiative I’d come across… LENs involves us in deciding what’s best for the individual farm.”

LENs practices — like soil cover, crop diversity, habitat restoration, and livestock integration — boost resilience while improving carbon storage, biodiversity, and water quality. Results are tracked through LENs’ industry-leading MRV system, aligned with SBTi FLAG, GHG Protocol, and SAI Platform standards.
In 2025, LENs launched its Regen Pathway, giving land managers a clear, outcome-driven roadmap to support funders’ net-zero and biodiversity targets.
