Carbon asset management platform Klimate.co has announced that Copenhagen Airports (Nasdaq Copenhagen: KBHL) has invested in a diverse portfolio of carbon removal projects, a move that underscores both companies’ commitment to a net-zero future.

Copenhagen Airport, established in 1925, shares Klimate.co’s vision of shaping a better tomorrow through collective action.

“This outlook is highly aligned with our own goals of future-proofing for a more sustainable future,” Klimate.co said on their LinkedIn profile earlier this week.

Copenhagen Airports have invested into a “well-balanced portfolio that brings measurable climate impacts and co-benefits”, the carbon asset management platform stated without disclosing any further details.

By actively supporting carbon removal solutions within the aviation sector, Copenhagen Airports showcases exemplary leadership, according to Klimate.co.

This collaboration between two Danish companies serves as a beacon in the national market, fostering the growth and implementation of carbon removal initiatives.

In October 2023, Klimate.co successfully raised €3.5 million ($3.8 million) in a seed funding round led by Eneco Ventures and Helen Ventures that was also joined by existing investors Rockstart and the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO).
