Carbon capture technology developer Kapture has announced a strategic partnership with the VINCI Group and its innovation and investment platform Leonard, marking a significant step toward commercial deployment and international scale-up.
As part of the agreement, Leonard has made an initial investment in Kapture, while VINCI business units will collaborate with the startup to deploy and expand Kapture’s modular carbon capture systems across industrial sites.
The partnership is designed to bridge early-stage technology development with large-scale infrastructure delivery, leveraging VINCI’s global construction and engineering footprint.
Kapture expects its first commercial deployment with VINCI to take place in the second quarter of 2026.
Beyond the initial project, the companies plan to jointly scale the technology to serve additional customers and regions, positioning modular carbon capture as a practical decarbonisation solution for a range of hard-to-abate sectors.
VINCI Group CEO Pierre Anjolras launched the partnership program and underscored the strategic importance of startup collaboration in accelerating industrial decarbonization.

The collaboration reflects growing momentum around modular carbon capture systems, which aim to reduce deployment complexity and capital costs while enabling faster adoption across distributed industrial sites worldwide.
