Invert Inc. – a startup founded in 2021 that facilitates clients in removing emissions, announces it raised $25 million CAD ($19 million) in its latest funding round led by mining company Altius Minerals.
It welcomed new institutional along with high-net-worth investors. The company plans to use the equity financing to expand its carbon credit streaming portfolio and continue the development of the recently launched Invert App.

Invert Inc marked another development this week. It officially launched its Invert App – a mobile app that allows each user to measure and reduce its carbon footprint while contributing to sustainable projects.
The app is free for Apple and Android users and shows people how their behaviors and buying habits like commuting to work or eating out at restaurants affect the environment. According to the company, the app will include in the future social media interactions with other members of the community in order to encourage consumers to make more climate-friendly decisions.

On September 12th, 2022, Invert announced it made an agreement with waste conversion company BC Biocarbon for the provision of high-quality carbon removal credits (CORCS) derived from biochar.
The CO2 removal certificates will be verified by Puro.earth and will provide the company with an immediate supply of carbon credits available to both corporate and individual customers. Each credit purchased represents a metric ton of CO2 removed from the atmosphere.
