Carbon removal registry Isometric has launched Certify, a new platform that streamlines the process of verification for carbon dioxide removal (CDR) projects.
Looking to address the lengthy and conventionally cumbersome process for verifying CO2 removal activities and issuing carbon credits, Isometric developed Certify, reducing the often years-long verification process down to only just one month without compromising on quality.
This means that with the help of Certify, in a matter of one month, CDR suppliers will now be able to submit all the relevant verification data in accordance with rigorous criteria and issue carbon credits from their activities, avoiding unnecessary revenue delays.
In a broader perspective, Isometric hopes that this optimized process will catalyze CDR growth and rapid scaling towards climate-relevant levels.
Certify was created with three new key automations.
The first one is that it migrates away from paperwork and manual spreadsheets, providing users with a way to enter Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) effortlessly and with accuracy, eliminating room for errors.
This automated submission of project evidence enhances the efficacy of processing verification data, signaling potential issues along the way before they escalate into obstacles.
Lastly, powered by its Open API, Certify enables real-time data transfer, allowing suppliers to continuously submit their Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) data.
The platform can also be used by those CDR suppliers that have already opted in for a different MRV software provider. In these cases, Certify will allow users to keep their existing workflows through flexible integrations, helping them access and take advantage of its speedy verification process.

To submit a project for verification via Certify, users need to go through three steps.
The first step is to check compliance and submit a project, where the platform will provide guidance on what is needed to proceed further.
During the second step, suppliers log the required data to quantify their removals. Once they are calculated and verified, the carbon credits are issued.
In the final step of this process, suppliers can deliver credits directly to buyers on the Isometric Registry.
