Climate tech incubator Greentown Labs announced that it has welcomed five new startups to its Houston-based community.
The startups will have access to a supportive network of like-minded stakeholders, hosted at a 30,000-square-foot incubator facility that offers office space, a prototyping lab, and event venues.
Founded by entrepreneurs driven by the vision of catalyzing climate action through innovation, the Greentown Labs community operates out of Houston and Boston, where it backs promising technologies that tackle environmental challenges.
In Q1 of 2025, the Greentown Labs incubator announced that it will host a total of nineteen startups in its Houston hub, developing solutions for agriculture, construction, transportation, electricity, manufacturing, and climate change resiliency and adaptation.
Six of those startups were selected as part of the third ACCEL Cohort—an accelerator program launched by Greentown Labs in partnership with Browning the Green Space that supports the work of startups led by Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC).
The latest five startups selected to join the Houston incubator are Concept Loop, GeoFuels, PlasEne, RepAir Carbon, and RotorVault.
Concept Loop, a project launched by Pakistan-based Innova8e Inc., turns post-industrial and post-consumer plastic waste into sustainable building materials, while PlasEne, an ACCEL Cohort member, converts plastic waste into liquid fuel and low-carbon hydrogen using proprietary catalysts and modular, scalable, pre-engineered units.
Based in Sugar Land, Texas, GeoFuels specializes in hydrogen production using baseload geothermal power and methane pyrolysis. With a focus on promoting sustainable fuel production, the company enables local renewable energy generation, lowering the reliance on imported fossil fuels.

To answer energy storage needs, RotorVault from Pasadena, California, is working on commercializing containerized, modular, and field-deployable solutions for energy storage and load-following, built on flywheel technology.
The fifth Greentown Labs newcomer is RepAir Carbon, an Israeli company that has come up with a fully electric, zero-heat carbon dioxide removal technology. The unique performance advantages of this solution are that it consumes minimal energy, operates without liquids or solvents, and produces no hazardous materials or waste.
