Berlin-headquartered company goodcarbon has announced a global request for proposals (RFP), looking for nature-based carbon removals on behalf of a food and beverage company.
As shared in the announcement, the food and beverage company intends to utilize the high-quality, nature-based credits towards its 2030 climate targets strategy.
Through this call, goodcarbon is looking to contract up to 600,000 tCO2 of nature-based carbon removal credits that will be delivered between 2028 and 2030.
The request for proposals extends to carbon dioxide removal (CDR) developers working on high-integrity nature-based projects who put a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility and social safeguards and are confident in future deliveries.
Additionally, the call highlights that priority will be given to projects positioned in regions where the said food and beverage company sources raw ingredients for its operations.
Specialized in the creation and management of carbon credit portfolios, goodcarbon helps its clients with their climate strategies, providing services that ensure lasting quality, impact, and value.
To evaluate the submissions received through this RFP, goodcarbon and its corporate food and beverage industry client have put together a customized quality framework based on goodcarbon’s Nature Analytics Framework.
The assessment of the received proposals will happen through a two-step process in which goodcarbon and its client will screen the submission for initial eligibility and then continue to perform detailed due diligence for the projects that are shortlisted.
