In a landmark move for regional decarbonization efforts, GAS LAB Asia and Evo Energy Technologies Pty Ltd have entered into a strategic partnership to expand the deployment of industrial carbon capture solutions across Australia and New Zealand.

The agreement was officially signed on July 17, 2025, during the Carbon Capture APAC Summit held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

GAS LAB Asia, known for its modular, skid-based CO2 capture systems and decades of expertise in separation technology, will join forces with Brisbane-based Evo Energy Technologies, an Australian-owned leader in decarbonization project delivery.

This alliance aims to unlock rapid, scalable CCUS (carbon capture, utilization, and storage) solutions tailored to heavy-emitting sectors such as cement, steel, power generation, waste-to-energy, and oil and gas. The duo also plans to target biogenic CO2 emissions from biomass and biogas operations.

“This collaboration is a mission-driven bridge between Indian ingenuity and Australian ambition,” said Keshav Goela, GAS LAB Asia Director.

“By pairing our signature carbon-capture know-how — refined through global projects — with Evo Energy’s on-ground capabilities, we will help Australian industry capture and reuse CO2 at scale instead of emitting it.”

GAS LAB’s systems are designed to plug directly into downstream utilization applications — such as CO2-enriched agriculture, remineralization in water treatment, beverage production, and dry ice manufacturing — delivering immediate economic returns without relying on green hydrogen.

These high-impact use cases will be prioritized, while the captured CO2 is also positioned for future integration into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and e-methanol supply chains.

The collaboration plans to establish initial demonstration units before ramping up commercial-scale rollouts, reinforcing Australia’s decarbonization strategy and encouraging broader CCUS cooperation across the region.
