Carbon removal market intelligence and due diligence provider CUR8 has joined forces with high-quality removals certifier Isometric, creating a curated “2030 Portfolio” of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) tailored to the needs of corporate net-zero buyers.

As part of this joint effort, CUR8 has de-risked the projects included in the portfolio, while the CO2 removal credits will be certified against Isometric’s rigorous quality standards.

Through this new offering, the partnering companies aim to provide corporate buyers working on net zero goals with a credible and compliance-aligned pathway for reaching sustainability targets.

The 2030 Portfolio gives buyers a choice of six projects active in different geographies around the world. The projects are centered around five different CDR technologies, including biochar, bio-oil, biomass geological storage, subsurface siomass storage, and wastewater alkalinity enhancement

The projects are developed by leading CDR companies, including Vaulted Deep, CREW Carbon, Charm Industrial, Carboneers, and Graphyte.

On its end, CUR8 evaluated each one of the selected projects with its in-house risk models. The company’s assessment approach combines climate science with AI-powered analysis, determining a project’s durability and integrity quicker and with more precision than human analysis.

With CUR8 covering this vital part of the CDR assessment, the final 2030 Portfolio offers corporate buyers a streamlined and reliable access to removals, eliminating the need for an in-house due diligence team.

Every carbon removal credit issued from the portfolio projects will be independently certified by Isometric, backed by the largest science team of any carbon removal certifier on the market and publicly documented on the Isometric Registry.

CUR8 Co-Founder and CEO Marta Krupinska stated, “By applying our investment-grade due diligence process with Isometric’s certification standard to a diverse portfolio of different removal methods, we’re making high-quality removals readily available without requiring every buyer to be an expert.”

On behalf of Isometric, Lukas May, Chief Commercial Officer, shared, “The supply of genuinely high-quality carbon removal is limited, and for most buyers, navigating procurement without a dedicated due diligence team can be hard. This portfolio, in partnership with CUR8, gives buyers access to certified removal across a range of pathways without having to build that capability in-house, keeping their net zero goals on track.”
