CO2 Value Europe – the non-for-profit association representing the carbon capture community in Europe, and BNP Paribas Fortis announced a new partnership to share knowledge and experience in order to scale innovative solutions, essential to the low-carbon transition.
The international bank BNP Paribas Fortis already helps companies in the green transition via its Sustainable Business Competence Center to adopt more sustainable practices and finance green energy solutions.

According to the European organization, the partnership would help it understand which criteria are important to help finance the most promising carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) projects and get in touch with key players in the industry.
On its side, CO2 Value Europe would aim to contribute by bringing its multidisciplinary knowledge and expertise on CCUS to increase investments in technologies that contribute to the transition to a circular, more sustainable and de-fossilized industry.
“We see this new partnership as a true sharing of knowledge… This partnership will contribute to our common ambition to provide our services to those seeking solutions for a better and more environmentally friendly industry,” comments CO2 Value Europe Secretary General Anastasios Perimenis.
