CNaught, an online platform offering a diverse portfolio of carbon credits, has announced its participation in the early research preview of Operator, a new computer-using agent by OpenAI designed to simplify everyday tasks.
The collaboration with OpenAI eliminates frictions and lowers barriers to climate action, ensuring that individuals and businesses can take meaningful steps toward sustainability with confidence, CNaught said in a statement.
It will make it easier than ever for individuals and businesses to automatically calculate and offset their carbon footprint by turning routine activities into climate action with minimal effort.
While artificial intelligence (AI) is often scrutinized for its energy consumption, Operator showcases its potential to drive positive change, according to CNaught.

Users of Operator can calculate carbon emissions from activities like travel and shipping; explore CNaught’s carefully selected carbon credit portfolios; and instantly purchase credits to offset emissions.
“CNaught makes it easy for anyone to take real climate action with high-integrity carbon credit portfolios. OpenAI’s Operator further lowers the barrier to entry so that anyone can make an impact almost instantly,” said CNaught CEO Mark Chen.
The company provided a simple prompt for users to try using the new AI agent for climate action:
“Help me book a trip to New York for my family of four, then calculate and offset the carbon impact at https://www.cnaught.com/calculators.”
This initiative is in its early stages, and its potential to drive meaningful climate action is vast, CNaught said, adding that it looks forward to the opportunities this technology will unlock in advancing sustainability efforts.
