Climeworks has announced the return of its Direct Air Capture Summit this year, which will take place on June 6, 2023.
While last year’s edition focused on scaling direct air capture (DAC) technology in order to meet climate goals, this year the spotlight will be on advancing high-quality carbon removal solutions.
The qualities that these solutions are expected to have include verifiability, additionality, permanence, and net-negativity.
Similarly to the previous editions, the 2023 edition of the Direct Air Capture Summit will be a hybrid event, physically taking place in Zurich, Switzerland, as well as online.
This year’s summit will feature a range of interesting speakers from the carbon removal industry, including representatives of Carbon180, Carbon Direct, Kita, Puro.earth, XPRIZE, and others.
Registration for the full-day event is officially open.
