Durable carbon removal ambassador CDR.fyi is on a quest to hasten the speed of global deployment of this decarbonization method, considered crucial in the race to meet net zero targets.
The organization’s founders, Kevin Niparko and Robert Höglund, along with co-founder Alex Rink, have announced three major updates that will focus their efforts for accelerating the widespread adoption of carbon removal technologies.
While the organization operates for profit, it has now acquired a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) status, meaning that they are legally obligated to level their earnings with the work on their core mission.
As the team behind CDR.fyi strives for both environmental and financial stability, they believe that this new status and structure enables them to achieve both of these aims.
Another major announcement is that CDR.fyi co-founder Alex Rink, an active figure in the industry, with vast experience in SaaS, data, and market intelligence companies, will now take the role of CEO.
Commenting on the occasion, he shared that he is eager to build on the foundations laid out by his co-founders and dedicated global team.
He said, “Achieving net zero will require carbon removal at scale, and I’m honored and humbled to support the suppliers, purchasers, and market participants who will help us reach this critical goal.”
The third important announcement is that the organization now offers tools through which interested parties can join in and contribute to the advancement of carbon removal.
CDR.fyi platform subscribers can now access the CDR.fyi Portal, through which suppliers can showcase their profiles, locations, and growth, allowing users the option to filter this data.

The system will now offer simplified data integration via the CDR.fyi API, and users can take advantage of expanded durable carbon removal market analysis and insights.
The organization clarified that premium features are available to CDR.fyi Data Partners who help the mission of fostering transparency in the carbon removal sphere, as well as to other mission supporters who subscribe to the platform.
