As a fast-growing sector, the carbon dioxide removal (CDR) industry needs stakeholders to gather together and work ambitiously towards advancing sustainably this market. The Negative Emissions Platform – the partnership of European and international organizations focused on scaling carbon removal technologies, revealed its latest initiative backed by some of its Members – the CDR Capital Flow Chapter.
The CDR Capital Flow Chapter is a dedicated platform aimed at addressing and resolving the financing barriers that hinder the carbon dioxide removal technologies from becoming at scale reality.
The NEP Members that are taking part in the initiative are Carbonx Climate, Carbon Removal Partners, Carbonfuture, and Climeworks. It focuses on gathering financial stakeholders like investors and buyers in order to achieve synergy and collaborate better to help nurture the nascent industry.
The CDR Capital Flow Chapter plans to achieve that through a series of meticulously curated meetings that will foster a collaborative environment where government agencies, foundations, venture capitalists, business angels, private equity firms, impact funds, public agencies, and commercial banks can meet and join forces.
The event series will start in Zurich on Thursday, 23 November 2023 and Thursday, 30 November 2023. Paris will be the second location for the next round of meet-ups with tentative dates on Thursday, 11 January 2024 and Thursday, 18 January 2024. In February, the stakeholders willing to attend will be able to do so in London on Feb 1st and Feb 8th, 2024. Stakeholders willing to register can follow the RSVP link here and fill in their details and availability.
