CarbonQuest and Daroga Power have unveiled a pioneering carbon capture-as-a-service project in North America, offering commercial and industrial emitters a new way to cut emissions without upfront costs.
The collaboration introduces a subscription-style model that delivers distributed carbon capture solutions through long-term service agreements.
The debut project is located at a beverage production facility in Washington state.
Under the agreement, Daroga covers the capital and operational costs for CarbonQuest’s capture technology—including installation and maintenance—while the facility commits to a multi-year service contract. In return, it receives a steady supply of sustainable liquid CO2 and guaranteed annual capture volumes.
This business model is designed to make carbon capture more accessible to sectors such as food and beverage, utilities, and industrial manufacturing — especially those unable to afford the initial investment.
CarbonQuest’s proprietary Carbon Management Software (CMS) provides real-time tracking of CO2 capture, liquefaction, and distribution to ensure transparency and verification.

The initiative builds on a 2023 partnership between CarbonQuest and Daroga aimed at scaling low-carbon infrastructure through C2Zero, a portfolio company of SER Capital Partners.
“Customers in many sectors are under pressure to reduce emissions yet are concerned about paying for hardware-intensive projects with capital budgets,” said Shane Johnson, CEO of CarbonQuest.
“Carbon capture-as-a-service relieves that worry while providing stable and guaranteed emission reductions over a set timeframe.”
