CarbonNEXT Offers Expert Training And Mentorship For CCUS Startups - Carbon Herald

carbonNEXT, Canada’s leading pipeline for carbontech solutions, is now providing startups with the opportunity to become part of its network and receive expert training. The accelerator is launching its next cohort for climatetech startups with an application deadline December 22, 2023. The program includes:

  • 6 sector-specific training sessions to connect startups with industry and experts
  • Inclusion in carbonNEXT’s pitchbook, resource directory, and other resources
  • Networking and showcase events
  • Tailored 1:1 support from the organization’s network of industry experts

By joining, startups will not only gain access to sector-specific mentorship services but will also be guided by industry experts in the field of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).

The purpose of the training program is to equip startups with the necessary mechanisms to commercialize and scale their solutions faster, ultimately achieving their goals of reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a more sustainable future.

The carbonNext training program is designed to provide companies with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the complex landscape of carbon capture technologies and bring their innovative ideas to fruition.

By deciding to take part in the program, the participants can choose from a wide range of support services.

The carbonNEXT Annual Cohort takes place over 12 weeks from February to April, providing specialized information on technology requirements, consumer behavior, carbon market developments, perspectives from investors, and potential collaborations in the ecosystem.

Being part of the carbonNEXT community allows startups to gain valuable knowledge and skills from a team of executive advisors, which includes CEOs, CFOs, and CTOs.

They can also get support in securing non-dilutive funding or opt to access customized training programs, industry-related conferences, networking events, pitch opportunities, and other relevant prospects.

One of the most valuable advantages offered by the carbonNEXT training program is the nationwide network of CCUS expertise, laboratory and test-bed facilities, as well as specialized equipment, which startups can utilize for quickly validating and advancing their innovative projects.

For the CCUS solutions, which are still at a pre-commercial stage, the program provides the chance to investigate and address industry requirements by identifying market needs and suitable partners for developing, showcasing, and scaling innovations.

carbonNEXT is a collaborative initiative between Foresight and Carbon Management Canada. In order to join the upcoming cohort, interested companies need to submit their applications by December 22, 2023.
