Carbonmark and EcoRegistry announced that they are integrating their services together, aiming to bring more transparency, efficiency, and simplified access to carbon credits on the market.
As a carbon markets infrastructure solution provider, Carbonmark specializes in helping data registries manage their environmental asset inventory while providing the option to incorporate those assets into third-party applications via APIs.
With this partnership, the carbon credit projects listed on EcoRegistry will now come with a comprehensive set of features, including credit lifecycle transparency, API-based automated transactions, a streamlined customer experience, and secure solutions designed to strengthen the market.
EcoRegistry’s platform boosts the process of issuing environmental assets and monitors the resulting units to prevent double counting.
Their tools facilitate secure communication between various stakeholders during the origination process, keeping all supporting proof of the issuance process. Once the credits are generated, the platform uses a distributed ledger technology (DLT)-based implementation to track them.
This collaboration will enable direct, real-time transactions seen by many as critical for scaling carbon credit markets.
On behalf of EcoRegistry, CEO Juan Duran stated, “The market needs participants willing to bring down barriers between supply and demand and generate new opportunities and markets for the project owners. Carbonmark is implementing innovative methodologies to deploy, receive feedback, and adapt to the market’s needs.”
