CarbonCapture announced on Oct. 27 that it has selected Fluor Corporation as the firm to provide engineering and project integration services for Project Bison, which is CarbonCapture’s multi-megaton CO2 removal facility in Wyoming.
The project is expected to go operational by the end of 2023. It will be the first atmospheric CO2 removal site to use Class VI wells for permanent carbon storage, as well as the first massively scalable direct air capture project in the U.S.
