Carbon Clean has recently announced the commercialization of its innovative CycloneCC C1 series.
This breakthrough technology represents a significant step forward in carbon capture, offering a more compact and cost-effective solution for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The CycloneCC C1 series is available in various concentrations, capable of capturing up to 100,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
This modular design significantly reduces the physical footprint of carbon capture plants, making it suitable for a wider range of industrial sites, especially those with limited space.
By utilizing Rotating Packed Bed (RPB) technology, CycloneCC C1 eliminates the need for traditional columns, resulting in a 70% reduction in height and a 35% decrease in steel usage.
This innovative approach not only lowers the carbon footprint of the technology itself but also significantly reduces construction and operational costs.
The prefabricated and skid-mounted design of CycloneCC C1 further streamlines the installation process, reducing transportation, logistics, and site preparation costs.

This technology is particularly well-suited for small-to-midsize emitters, which often face challenges in deploying conventional carbon capture solutions due to space constraints and high costs.
As the world strives to meet the 2030 climate targets, industries are increasingly under pressure to decarbonize their operations.
CycloneCC C1 offers a viable and cost-effective solution for hard-to-abate sectors, enabling them to reduce their carbon emissions and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Prateek Bumb, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Carbon Clean, said: “The launch of the CycloneCC C1 series is a major milestone in the technology’s commercialisation. Repeatability is key to mass adoption, as demonstrated with solar panels and EV batteries. Carbon Clean is leading a similar transformation through eliminating the columns used in conventional carbon capture solutions.”
“Delivering fully modular, columnless, replicable units with a substantially smaller footprint is a technological breakthrough. CycloneCC’s ‘Lego-block’, ‘plug and play’ design makes it simple and cost-effective to install, making carbon capture financially and logistically viable to be deployed at scale. First-mover customers and early adopters will have the advantage of tangible decarbonisation results while benefiting from a staggered approach to capital investment due to CycloneCC C1’s modular design,” Bumb stated.
