Carbominer To Be Awarded From Google For Startups Ukraine Support Fund - Carbon Herald

The Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund named its first 9 startups to receive an award in 2024. Carbominer – a direct air capture player, is one of the selected companies.

Google launched the Ukraine Support Fund in 2022 as a response to Russia’s brutal military aggression and in solidarity with the vibrant Ukrainian startup ecosystem. This first fund supported 58 Ukrainian startups from various domains.

Aside from the award funding, the Ukraine Support Fund provides mentoring support from Google experts, and access to the lively Google for Startups community. These measures are intended to help Ukrainian entrepreneurs develop their startups in the face of war and lay the groundwork for post-war economic recovery.

This second wave of support from Google for Startups for Ukrainian entrepreneurs was launched in February 2024. Selected Ukrainian startups will be announced gradually over two years and will receive non-dilutive cash awards, as well as Google mentoring and product support and Google Cloud credits.

The whole list of startups awarded in this batch are:

  • Ailand Systems – smart autonomous drones for mine detection.
  • BazaIT – an all-in-one hiring solution for tech companies.
  • Clearly – a technology platform that effectively connects psychotherapists with clients.
