C2V Year 5 Final Showcase Brings Together Carbon Removal Startups In NYC On June 3 - Carbon Herald

The race to commercialize carbon dioxide removal is entering a new phase as a growing group of startups moves from lab testing to industrial deployment. On June 3, innovators, investors and climate leaders will gather in New York City for the fifth annual Carbon to Value Initiative Final Showcase, an event highlighting companies working to transform captured carbon into commercially useful products.

The showcase will feature presentations from ten startups that represent a cross section of the emerging carbontech economy. Their technologies span direct air capture, underground mineral storage, sustainable fuels and carbon-based manufacturing.

The event arrives at a pivotal moment for the industry. Governments and corporations are increasing pressure to cut emissions while also investing in technologies capable of removing carbon dioxide already in the atmosphere. For many companies in the sector, the challenge is no longer proving the science. It is proving that carbon removal can scale economically.

Among the featured startups are Arbon, which is developing humidity-swing carbon capture systems, and Mission Zero Technologies, whose electrified direct air capture technology has already seen international deployment. Sora Fuel is working on sustainable aviation fuel production by converting captured carbon into syngas, while Universal Matter is transforming industrial waste into graphene through a Flash Joule Heating process.

The Carbon to Value Initiative has become an important launchpad for early-stage carbontech ventures seeking commercial traction and industry partnerships. Organizers say this year’s cohort reflects a broader shift in climate technology toward systems that not only remove emissions, but also create valuable industrial products from carbon itself.

More information and registration details are available at the official event page.
