C-Questra, RepAir Expand Partnership To Target Industrial CO2 Emissions Across Europe - Carbon Herald

C-Questra and RepAir Carbon have announced an expansion of their European partnership, aiming to tackle industrial carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions through integrated capture and storage solutions, according to a joint statement.

Building on their earlier collaboration around Direct Air Capture (DAC), the new agreement extends to capturing CO2 directly from industrial sources—particularly those with low concentrations of 0–5%.

The partnership focuses on key markets where C-Questra operates—France, the UK, and Poland—and introduces a full-stack solution for hard-to-abate sectors such as aluminium smelting and gas turbine power generation.

These industries often emit diluted CO2 streams that are economically challenging to capture using traditional methods.

RepAir’s proprietary electrochemical technology offers a significant breakthrough, consuming 70% less energy than conventional carbon capture systems.

This enables the efficient and cost-effective capture of emissions even at very low CO2 concentrations, unlocking new decarbonization pathways for industries under increasing pressure to comply with European climate regulations such as the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA).

“Europe’s industries urgently need affordable and sovereign access to CO2 storage,” said Walid Sinno, CEO of C-Questra.

The partners plan to develop pilot projects integrating RepAir’s modular capture systems with C-Questra’s planned onshore CO2 sequestration hubs.

These end-to-end systems offer emitters a “bankable” pathway to net-zero operations while reducing infrastructure needs and shortening deployment timelines.

“This expansion with C-Questra allows us to address both carbon removal through DAC and emission reduction at industrial sites – and to ensure every ton we capture is permanently and safely stored underground,” explained Amir Shiner, CEO of RepAir.

This partnership marks a strategic move to solidify Europe’s sovereignty in carbon management while accelerating the transition to a low-carbon industrial economy.
