Bolivia-based company Exomad Green has reached a new milestone, surpassing 300,000 delivered carbon removal credits from its biochar operations in the Global South.

The 300,000 credits are delivered on the market as CO2 Removal Certificates (CORCs), certified by carbon crediting platform Puro.earth.

The issued CORCs have been delivered to corporate buyers working on sustainability strategies, which include industry giants such as Microsoft, Swiss Re, and NextGen.

This landmark delivery by Exomad represents nearly 20% of all carbon removal issued to date under the Puro Registry, and it solidifies the company’s position as a leading biochar carbon dioxide removal (CDR) producer, as well as the largest global supplier of delivered durable CO2 removal credits to date.

According to data shared by Exomad Green, between 2023 and 2025, the company experienced a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in delivery of approximately 228%, where volumes went from 16,249 CORCs delivered in 2023 to 73,769 CORCs delivered in 2024 and finally, an impressive 174,480 CORCs delivered in 2025.

Looking ahead, Exomad expects to deliver nearly 300,000 tonnes of CO2 in 2026 alone, continuing to demonstrate the rapid scalability of its biochar-based carbon removal approach.

This scale of operations was unlocked through the company’s two active biochar production plants in Concepción and Riberalta, with a third Bolivia-based site currently on the way, which is expected to become the world’s largest biochar production facility upon completion.

When it comes to CDR results, Exomad recently boosted the capabilities of its two existing biochar sites, enhancing the Concepción facility to provide 140,000 of CO2 per year and expanding the Riberalta one to 120,000 tonnes annually.

The company’s third facility, currently under construction in the Guarayos region, is expected to reach an output of 320,000 tonnes of CO2 per year once fully operational, bringing Exomad’s total carbon removal infrastructure to reach 1 million tonnes of capacity in 2027.

In a statement, Exomad Green CEO Diego Justiniano shared, “This milestone demonstrates that durable carbon removal is no longer theoretical—it is industrial, scalable, and delivering measurable climate impact. We are proud not only of the volumes achieved but also of the speed and integrity with which we have built this company.”
