BeZero Carbon – the company providing a risk-based assessment for understanding and interrogating carbon credit performance, and Kayrros – an environmental intelligence company, announced they are partnering to map the Amazon basin to enhance risk assessment of carbon credit projects from the region.
Kayrros will provide its satellite imagery and geospatial data to BeZero Carbon to help the company rate carbon projects there.

BeZero Carbon provides a platform that assesses any project type from any sector. The company’s independent ratings show information on the quality of carbon credits provided by the respective project, giving market participants the risk-based tools needed to invest in the most environmentally impactful initiatives.

The partnership will see Kayrros’ satellite-based mapping of the Amazon basin feed into BeZero Carbon’s ratings, providing additional high-resolution, real-time data on tree cover and height as well as above-ground biomass, to better understand carbon project effectiveness.
