In a major bid to funnel carbon finance into the real estate sector, BEClimate has launched BEVerify – a dedicated registry designed to connect building decarbonization projects directly with global carbon markets.
Developed by BEClimate, powered by Quidos, and delivered in partnership with environmental market infrastructure giant Xpansiv, the platform aims to solve a long-standing funding bottleneck for built-environment climate action.
Historically, energy efficiency upgrades in schools, care homes, and commercial properties have struggled to attract upfront capital, as energy savings alone rarely justify the high initial costs.
BEVerify addresses this by turning verified, real-world building performance improvements into auditable carbon assets. This allows asset owners to factor carbon credit revenue directly into project economics from the start.
Digital Verification in Minutes, Not Months
A key differentiator for BEVerify is its reliance on digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV).
By utilizing continuous, asset-level monitoring data, the platform has successfully demonstrated reduction-to-issuance times measured in minutes rather than months. This highly automated, agentic verification model streamlines the traditional administrative hurdles of carbon markets while maintaining a completely traceable digital audit trail.
“Without a reliable way to measure, verify and monetise carbon value when investment decisions are made, many projects are delayed, scaled back or never fully realised,” said James Bray, CEO of BEClimate.

By integrating BEClimate’s built-environment methodology with Xpansiv’s cloud-native, API-driven registry technology, the platform is built to support audit-grade traceability.
It is also designed for seamless interoperability with other registries and emerging compliance programs under Article 6 and CORSIA.
For carbon buyers, the registry offers a rare opportunity to support highly tangible, localized emissions reductions rather than abstract or distant offset projects, paving the way for scalable, community-level climate impact.
