This February, Economist Impact will be hosting its very first Carbon Capture Summit in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The in-person event will take place on February 6, 2025, in the Postillion Hotel and Convention Centre, and registration is still open.

Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) presents a critical opportunity to accelerate the green energy transition.

Expediting the development and expansion of large-scale industrial projects, including Direct Air Capture (DAC) and Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Sequestration (BECCS), is essential to mitigate emissions and maintain the 1.5°C temperature goal within reach.

Overcoming the multifaceted challenges related to funding, engineering, and policy will be crucial for the successful deployment of carbon capture technologies.

The Carbon Capture Summit in February is dedicated to fostering dialogue and driving progress.
