AIRCO, a carbon conversion technology company, has launched its latest AIRMADE Fuel demonstration plant in Brooklyn, New York. The facility integrates the company’s full CO₂-to-fuel process, marking a pivotal step toward scalable synthetic fuel production for the aviation industry.
Backed by a $70 million Series B fundraise, the plant showcases AIRCO’s modular approach to turning captured carbon and hydrogen into synthesis gas, which is then processed into optimized liquid fuel components for aerospace applications.
The project underscores AIRCO’s ambition to commercialize synthetic fuels at scale in response to growing global demand.
Toward Scalable Synthetic Aviation Fuel
“The United States will remain a critical proving ground and home for our technology,” said Gregory Constantine, Co-Founder and CEO of AIRCO.
“The successful operation of this plant marks another step toward our vision of commercializing multiple carbon technologies. It demonstrates how a variety of feedstocks including captured carbon can be transformed into synthetic fuels that can be scaled to meet growing global demand.”
The two-stage AIRMADE® process first converts CO2 and hydrogen into liquid fuel intermediates, then upgrades them into jet fuel blending components.

By consolidating these steps into one continuous system, AIRCO has achieved a key milestone on the path to commercialization.
The Brooklyn facility will be used to validate fuel quality against industry standards while also serving as a showcase of AIRCO’s broader modular and mobile design, adaptable to various environments and powered by renewable energy or clean hydrogen.
AIRCO’s expansion into the US market strengthens its collaborations across both defense and commercial sectors, including partnerships with the Department of Defense, JetBlue, and Virgin Atlantic.
